Message Did you keep the stock steering rack and what did you do for a PS pump?
I did keep the stock steering rack. Although the stock brackets are now welded to the new crossmember. I wasnt running PS originally, so i had no issues with PS. If you were to run PS though, you would be able to utilize the PS pump from the LS1 motor and slightly modify the lines going to and from the rack. Not as hard as you may think.
Did you have any problem with electronics like climate control or any of that stuff?
Once again, i also wasnt running AC/Heater systems before the install...so i didnt have to worry about that either. But once again, if you were to have your stock setup, you need only keep your stock wiring for the Z (not including the engien harnesses/ECU) and you will be able to use the climate control systems. You would, of course, need to run heater hose between the heater core and the outlets on the water pump for the heater core. You woudl also need to slightly modify the AC lines so as to be able to fit on the LS1's AC lines. I detail how to do this part of the conversion in my manual.
Were there any issues running the wiring harness?
Not at all. The LS1 motor needs, i believe, 10 wires to get it running. Of course, you need to wire for your fuel pump, ignition, power/ground wires. I did plenty of studying up on the wiring of the LS1 and that made for a much easier installation.
Did you use a custom cross member for the tranny? Do you have info on a website?
Custom Steel helped me in fabricating the crossmembers. In the manual i give the information needed to make the crossmembers yourself or if you can take the info to a shop and have them do the welding for you. i am considering producing more crossmembers so that i can sell them prewelded.

And unfortunately...no website yet. I am working on it.
